This year I&A, Ingrid Horsselenberg & Annouk Post, are organizing the Beyond Green Gallery for the second time. The objective is to inform and inspire visitors in different manners in the field of sustainable fashion and textile. The Beyond Green Gallery will be divided into four areas: the Information Space, the Showroom, the Exhibition, and the Swap Store.
The Information Space offers important players and organizations in the field of durable fashion the opportunity to present and promote their activities. Participants, are among, others Lectra, Schone Kleren, Kunstenaars & Co, SJ-Company and Stichting Max Havelaar.
The Showroom is the ideal spot for visitors to meet the makers behind honest fashion labels. By showcasing items from their collections, the creators behind these fashion labels will tell their personal story and answer the question: ‘How can you market a sustainable brand?’ Participants are: StudioJux, Rianne de Witte, Intoxica, Buddhi, Van Markoviec, CAREss by Mariëlle Leenders and Satara Fashion.
The Exhibition presents fashion and textile designers who have an innovative approach to sustainability. The focus lies on designs inspired by slow design, technology and nature. Participants are among others:
The Swap Store makes the vision on Good Design complete this year in the sense that ‘swapping’ (reusing) clothes is one of the most sustainable solutions for sustainability. In times of recession this concept - shopping with a closed wallet - provides visitors with the ideal opportunity to spoil themselves with a new vintage item. In the Swap Store the project ‘Worn Relics’ is presented by Ruby Hoette.
